Q: How do I become a consignor?
A: If you would decide to place an item on consignment with us, you could do one of the following:
Email photos of your item(s) to determine if we are interested in your item(s).
Determination is due to the the demand, condition, season, etc.
Mail us a hard copy of the pictures
If you have 4 or more larger items and you are unable to send us photos
, we can schedule an appointment to come and view your items depending on the distance from the store.
Q: What is consignment? A: Consignment is the act of consigning, which is placing an item in the hand of another (our store) but you retaining ownership during the 60 day consignment period until the goods are sold during that period. Once your item is sold during the designated 60 days, you will then receive a check for 50% of the final selling price. If your item(s) does not sell in the 60 days and if you'd like your item(s) back, it is your responsibility to contact us.
A: We make the final determination of the price of the item. Generally, an item on consignment will be listed at about 30-50% of what the original retail price was at the time of purchase. We take into consideration some of the following factors:
When was the item originally purchased?
How much did it cost originally?
Where was it purchased?
What is the item's current condition?
The current demand of that specific item?
We also research and compare similar items to the one that you have to offer.
Q: Will my item(s) just be showcased in your store? Where else?
A: All of our furniture is placed on Cragislist and also on our website. So there is a chance of triple exposure which multiplies the chance of your item selling. As long as the item is priced within reason depending on condition, demand, etc. Smaller items can also make it on our website and cragislist.
Q: What are the consignment terms?
A: You receive 50% of the final selling price and the item is on consignment for 60 days.
A: There are basically 2 options for you as a consignor at the end of your 60 day contract:
You can call us to arrange for pick up of your item(s) within in 10 days after your end date. We will not be contacting you due to the large volume of items on consignment.
Or you can leave the item with the store to do with as we feel fit; discount to move the items, donate or other.
We have regular customers that like to view new items on a regular basis. Sticking to the 60 day inventory turnover is very important in our business.
A: Yes, based on your location in reference to the store and the size and number of items being picked up.
Please call for exact pricing
A: Our goal is to sell enough items so that we can continually accept new consignors. If we do not have enough space or the capability to maximize the exposure of your item(s), we reserve the right to not accept your item(s) at that time. However, we will take your information and as soon as we can better accommadate your item(s), we will contact you immediately to see if you are still interested in being a consignor with us.
Q: What form of payments do you accept?
A: We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover & Amex
